 Hello my name is Joel Francis and I'm in the 10th grade. My process picking out my pictures and videos for my commercial was pretty vigorous. I want to find pictures and videos that I think will perfectly fit the topic. I had to search harder for them. The song that I chose is difficult to find. I had to switch it and find a different one. The song that I picked I enjoy and it fits me. The process choosing my pictures/videos took a while. I don't want to run out and have to go back and look for more. I had to go and ask my mom what she recommends. She told me to use some photos that she had of me when I was little. Some of them were embarrassing so I had to tell her which ones to send me. I told her which ones she could keep. I almost used an emoji photo but I remembered what my teacher told me. I don't want to get a bad score on the assignment. I found some pictures that would represent my past. I also found some and that shows me and who I am. For my song I'm looking for some that represents my culture. Also, I'm looking for pictures that represent it too. Hopefully, I find what I'm looking for and everything goes well.

Filming Blog: The Beginning!

 To be honest, filming was enjoyable and fairly simple. Ludji and I spent the weekend at Mai'Lyia's house so we could shoot. It was easy but challenging at the same time as we were filming. Being videotaped can be uncomfortable at times, but also funny. To get an outstanding video, we had to reshoot a lot of the scenes. We spent almost three hours filming the video which felt like a longer time. Many times, background noise or someone laughing would cause the scenes to sound off, so we would have to start over. We shot in a variety of locations across Mai'lyia's house. We filmed in, the living room, kitchen, back of the home, her room, her sister's room, and her brother's room. The laundry room and dryer in the back of the house served as the primary location or scene for the video. To add even more of an unsettling atmosphere, recordings were made at the back. Editing Blog: Things Switched

 Therefore, while not entirely incorrect, we completed the last task's filming portion incorrectly. The movie is meant to be a movie's opening scene. Rather than that, we filmed an entire short film. They gave me permission to modify this time as I had a fix request. They provided me with assistance when I needed it. But since I claimed to have Davinci Resolve, we decided it would be better for me to edit the movie. Mai'lyia captured a scene outside her home, which we were in need of. I think I will be the one to combine the footage to make it appear like an opening scene. This is done with the intention of not giving away the entire storyline or content. As I chose the fonts, I will provide the text, titles, and information about production and editing. Ludji agreed that it would be better if we skipped over the portion of the phone conversation that involved her and me.
