If we need to go somewhere, we will ask the parental guardians for permission to and if it is safe. We have fast contact to 911 if we need it or if something goes wrong in the film developing process. In the scene where Ludjmilla is doing laundry, we will have the parents supervise us so they can make sure we don't break the machine or that nobody gets hurt during the process. Also, if there are any scenes where the victim has to kill their stalker, we will make sure that it is with a safe object and that we do the scene with supervision. Schedule 1/30/24-1/31/24 Filming process will begin. We will start filming the beginning scenes and edit while we film so that the process can

Planning Blog: Title Design

Image
Fonts:  For the main title of the video we will use a font called “horror” to give the title more effect and make it stand out more. We thought this font was cool and worth using because it gives the effect of a scary/eerie movie. The beginning of the letters have ink that’s like being somewhat “poured out” or “leaking” from the letter which also gives off that effect as well. The font color is also a dark black which gives scary vibes as well, given that’s it’s not a colorful or bright color.  The next font we’ll use for the sub titles such as the actors names, directors, etc. This font will be less eye catching toward the viewers because it’s just like sub headings. The main title is supposed to catch the viewer attention the most. So for the next font we’ll just  use ‘ This font’  for these titles. It’s not as eye catching as the first one, yet it’ll still leave the viewers curious about the actors/directors. Contrast:     Color- The color of the all the fonts will just be plain b

It also shows the companies that have made the film or partnered in helping make the film. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? Images that are prioritized in the film are what I assume the victims or actual people the event happened to. The Conjuring is based on a true story so, many pictures of families I think, and pieces of newspapers when the event happened are also shown. The house of where the movie takes place at is also shown. How does the film establish a feeling of the genre? At the beginning of the film, the music is the first thing that is heard and is eerie. The enticing music sets the tone for the film given its a scary/horror movie. The music really builds t

What titles are displayed during the opening sequences?  At first the opening sequence gives sentences of a little context. Some about history and definitions. Then it moves on to give it's credits such as "Universal Presents". It also puts a title of what production is it. Finally it gets to the title of the movie with a red, bold, and unique font. In the same font, peoples names show up and we can infer those are the actors names. Credits show up as well.  What images are prioritized in the opening sequence?  The first image is a black and gold design with images with text on it.  Then in a pitch black setting, someone lights a candle. Then it cuts to someone flipping a book. You then start to see this person creating a doll.  How does the film establish a feeling of the genre?  The music from the very beginning has an eerie undertone to it. It helps to build the suspense of what it going to happen next making the storyline for mysterious. The lighting differences. Th

Title Research: Art of the Title Website

Image
I am researching this site because it has a lot of useful information. As I was navigating through it, I was learning new things. It is also very easy to navigate. It isn't complicated and has many resources. It uses bold font to highlight the important things on this website. There are videos that are also useful. The quality on the videos are clear, and the volume is good. The website has many videos so we can't run out of them. They have lists of many movie directors, so if my group likes the way a director films, we can access the films that the director makes. My group will never get tired of this website, given that it has many positive elements.

Other titles that are shown are the names of actors that played in the movie. It also shows the people who made the music and other elements in the movie. What images are prioritized in the opening sequence? Images that are prioritized in the film are army planes and I assume that it is at an army base. It also cuts to a town and a candy shop.  How does the film establish a feeling of the genre? At the beginning of the film, the first thing that is shown is someone getting hit and a horror type music is played. The creepy music sets the tone for the film because its a horror movie. The music sets the scene and builds the suspense for the movie. The title shown has blood dripping down from it and that shows that the film has a creepy, violent feeling.
