The Filming Struggles

Regarding re-filming our opening sequence, we didn't do a lot of it. We did consider re-filming once we quickly realized that we had made a small mistake. But with February almost over, we reasoned that we wouldn't have enough time to even reshoot. A few segments of our opening sequence were re-filmed. For example, re-filming the scenario if there was background noise or if someone laughed. We had to re-film a scene once since we decided not to use my camera after all. The quality of the camera was excellent, and it seemed like the greatest option for use. But my camera was almost out of battery. So, we had to reshoot the scene in which Ludji is speaking to me on the phone. The exterior of her house is probably where we would re-film if we had to. It was still fairly light outside when she took this video of my house. This movie is set in what feels like an evening or dusk. Presenting the house in its brightest light could potentially confuse viewers. Maybe they'll realize it's morning and question why it's so dark. This is a result of our first failure to film the house and our disregard for the establishing shot. Scenes in the living room are something I would also like to re-film. There is a fish tank in my house, and the filter creates noise. This gives the impression that water is rushing in the background. The sequence where Nala (Ludji) enters the room to retrieve a bag of chips is another that has to be reshot. Her sister was, I think, in the picture, even though they weren't supposed to. Although it's really late, it would be lovely to reshoot every one of these.
